The weather was perfect for Fall Fest at North Lake Campus. Students, faculty and staff enjoyed games and food in the campus courtyard.
A giant inflatable slide was the centerpiece of the Oct. 9 event, organized by Student Programs and Campus Engagement (SPACE).
“It is a good event, and everyone is coming together. SPACE is doing events for students to participate in and enjoy,” SPACE member, Valeria Martinez said.
SPACE members and advisers from the Richland and Mountain View campuses volunteered to help with the event.
They served barbeque platters that included a selection of chicken, pork or beef sandwiches with coleslaw or potato salad, chips and a chocolate brownie with iced tea to drink.
Popcorn was available too.
“I like it and it is fun,” said North Lake student Gage Jerke.
There was an archery game, mini corn hole and other activities for the students to enjoy.
There were also representatives available to help students learn about voting in the upcoming election.
“This is first one as it is my freshman year.
It’s good and I like it,” Nara Gage, a dual credit student at North Lake said.
According to Martinez, the event was a success with more than 100 students taking part.
“SPACE has some collab and more events coming up,” she said.
