Dallas College brought the energy and style to downtown Dallas on April 16 with its highly anticipated Sneaker Ball-themed Awards Showcase, hosted by the Office of Student Life and Engagement, where Student Government Association officers swore into office.

The event took place at Fairmont Hotel’s Regency Ballroom and was a celebration of student leadership, resilience and community. Students, faculty, staff and families from all seven campuses attended the event that blended personality and elegance. The attendees dressed up and showed off their favorite sneakers. It was the perfect showcase of the personality and diversity that defines the Dallas College student experience.

The highlight of the evening was the Bobbie Harrison Student Leader of the Year Awards, honoring student leaders from each of the seven Dallas College campuses who exemplify resilience and excellence in everything they do.

The award recipients include Brookhaven — Lilian Cordero Lopez, Cedar Vally — Melissa Daniel, Eastfield — Marvellous Adelaku, EI Centro — Arbre’Niyia  Richardson, Mountain View — Gired Aguilar, North Lake — Subah Ahmed, Richland —Malak Elkady.
